As we are finalising the first run of Tenue de Nîmes jeans which will be shipped out (again) next week I had another goal during my trip to Venice this week. Because our favourite pit-stop in the town of the 'Doge' has nothing to do with jeans but became a huge source of inspiration for us while making our first Tenue de Nîmes Collection.
It was our friend Marije who recommended us to visit the Peggy Guggenheim Collection when went to see the Diesel show in Venice last year. And so we did! The museum reveals work by an unbelievable amount of art legends from the 20th century and is considered one of the most important museums of Europe. The Peggy Guggenheim Collection is situated in Guggenheim’s former residence Palazzo Venier dei Leoni, on the Grand Canal in Venice. You come across work from a few of our favourite artists such as Pollock, Mondriaan and Picasso. So whenever you visit Venice for something blue like we did, don’t forget to treat yourself with 2 hours of the most spectaculair art available.
